Hiya,
I know it's been a long time, but I must thank Tanya and Patrick for their kind visit to Chicago last month. Yes, they were here; and no, we didn't take any pictures. They took me out to dinner to my favorite tapas restaurant in Evanston, the suburb where I live.
We had invited Tanya and Patrick to a BBQ at Stephan's that weekend, but two things stood in our way:
Firstly, on that weekend, the Chicago-area had horrible storms. They broke the rain records for 100 years. And secondly, and most importantly, Stephan got sick and needed to go to the hospital. Needless to say, I was running like a chicken without a head and feeling incredibly bad.
Tanya, mate, thanks for being so cool and understanding and for giving me a break and taking me out to dinner. I enjoyed seeing you and getting to know Patrick, who, btw, is very nice. You two look great together! Another Edron couple in the works lads!
About Stephan, he's doing well. He had surgery last week because he had a rupture in his large intestine, which caused an abscess, which caused an obstruction, which became an emergency the night of Aug 28 - not to worry, tho, he's all good now. He was admitted to the hospital and he had to deal with all sorts of stuff - pumps, valves, IV's; in and out of hospital; lots of pain and discomfort. The surgery has fixed all that. He's at home now, taking it easy. He'll be home for another 2 weeks since they had to make a big cut on his belly. Drop him a line if you can, I'm sure he'll want to hear from the lot of you.
So, how's everyone else doing??? Don't be strangers edronmates... Stay in touch!!!!
Cheers!
Lucia
