Honour

My dear Stephan,
Jamás, nunca, NEVER did I want to compare your screams with my students'!

Una cosa es que te hayas lastimado la rodilla como lo hiciste hace 20 odd years ago y otra que yo sea instructora de parto psicoprofiwhatever desde hace 16. I was letting you all (the blog) know what it is I do in paradise and as there was alot going on about the Tolsoneta and your knee cap, I thought of mentioning all in one letter. Sooooooooo, the story I have for that gaud awfull day is the following:

We, those who Saturday after Saturday, happily went to the Reforma Club to holler away to win another Rugby game.... there was a mellée (como se escriba)... and suddenly screams VERY different from those I am now used to hear... someone else obviously not in pain "get a doctor!" So I ran as fast as I could to the club house to find one... no one came and then someother shouted for an ambulance... I ran again... and the ambulance never showed up either ... o sí?? we have to take him to a hospital... who will take him to a hospital..................???? Quien dice yo?????? pos yo! You were put in the camper and I asked if someone else could drive you... no one dared!! so I did.

Sweetie, I missed as many baches and topes y chicles that I could, but obviously didnt't miss half not even a third of what I thought I did. SORRY!! Honest to goodness I did the best I could. Te lo juro.

After that accident I realised I rather see blood than crooked extremities. For some reason it is me who has taken many kids from the primary or the kinder to the hospital on Cedros to be stitched together after leaving their chins or foreheads on the pavement during break. Which reminds me, I took Grace Meyer to the Infantil Privado to have her stomach emptied after eating 2 valiums!! That, was also freaky...

There is a difference between being in labour and having a knee cap out of place. There is a prize after labour (with or without screaming and breathing) and with a knee cap out of place,... I don't believe there is one, is there?

Te mando un abrazo con mucho cariño,
Harriet.
