Que buen rollo

Jaysus, Mary and Joseph! This is HILARIOUS!!!

I'm half laughing and half crying with all the memories all these video clips have brought to the surface. No manches! Te pasas Tanya.. Están de pelos! Pus asi eramos, no? Big hair and funny clothes.... que loco! Man, those songs were soo good - I thought so too. Ask anyone in my family, everytime The Safety Dance comes on, they think "Wow Lucia, everytime I hear that song I think of you when you were at Edron." Now we have them right here for our own personal enjoyment.... Chido!

Nalini, Rigo didn't go to Edron..... Just thinking of it makes me laugh again! Tanya, tienes un sentido del humor muy creativo...

I see some of you have shared your Ed stories. And Tanya asked me for the one about the line... Here it is:

Ed would come into the classroom, walk to the blackboard... at the time Edron had blackboards on which teachers used real chalk to write on... remember? Ed was one of them teachers who would end up covered in chalk by the end of the day. But I digress... Ed would walk to the board and before he would say anything, abuse anyone, or get anything started, he would draw a line right at the center of the board. He would stat at the top, one handed, and go to the center. Then he would go to the bottom and draw the second half up. Both half lines would meet perfectly at the center. This would split the board in two perfect halves. I'd never known anyone who would do that, or with such precision and dedication. The line was drawn perfectly straight and always in just one go. Why? Did Ed need to balance the geometry of the room? Was he making himself a book like space on the board? Was he trying to hypnotize us by drawing the line in such a way one had to look and keep looking? mmm?

I know, this is not a funny story, is it? But maybe you remember that small detail also and think of Ed fondly. Ed Carter taught Math and Physics and he was my teacher from Form 1 to Form 5 - at which time he left Edron and I stopped taking math and physics. Coincidentally since I chose other subjects for my A levels. But the point is that Ed was a teacher I had for a long time and got to know well.... Fine, maybe not as well as some here present who traveled, partied and spent weekends in Valle with him. But I knew the teacher, Mr. Carter.... he became Ed to me much later. I remember he played the piano to teach harmonics, and would say small one liners in Latin, he explained the correct use of e.g. and i.e. - which to this day I remember and would hope someone would explain it to these idiot Gringos. He went on field trips, and performed in plays, and used the Tolson's telescope to teach us astronomy... I still remember seeing Saturn!!
