Rico

Hola Edronmates

Nice to see some activity and to see so many familiar faces – Rosemary and Carmen (besos to you). By the way Carmen my sister Clare says hi and was asking how Tony is? Anyway while you were all having a great time in what looks like the “sun”, over here, in cold and blustery England, there was also a small reunion going on. Through the Edron guestbook Rico Singh and I got in touch. Rico was at Edron circ 1975 for two years (can’t remember exact dates as he was pouring a few gallons of Port into my glass by the end of the afternoon!). Rico’s Dad worked at the Indian Embassy. I know Rosemary, Lorena, Lucienne, Maite etc all will remember him fondly (you may remember him as he wore his hair in braids). He remembers them well. In fact I emailed him Rosemary’s website which he too, was MUCHO impressed with – she is very very talented!

So, long story cut short, we emailed and found out that we live 10 minutes away from each other! What a small world it is. And it was great looking at his photo album – this 10 year old was looking out of the page at me transporting me back to the classroom above Mr David’s office. We met his lovely wife Shanu and his son, Sahil 8 and Nikita 5 who were absolutely fantastic with Connor (now 14 months). The company was great as was the food, not to mention the Port! We’ve set a date for a return match at ours when I will be endeavouring to cook Mexican – need to source some salsa verde! Here are some pictures of our reunion:
