The Pub Crawl

The question of solidity here is staggering, don't you think?

So we're at The Prospect of Whitby in Wapping, taking in the view. Well, if we're to be technically truthful, when we say we're taking in the view, we mean I, seeing as Pat was ordering the much-needed-at-this-stage food (fish and chips and mushy peas, what else?) and round of drinks downstairs. One of the oldest - if not *the* oldest? continuously in service public houses since Henry VIII. Definitely worth a visit next time you're in town.

The second stop was The Kidd. Also quaint, flowery and spacious. Too bad there was a sudden little downpour as we crawled, otherwise we'd've been able to sit out here upon arrival. The river's immediately behind, but the lighting was too low for a decent shot. Still... the drinks were good and the company unrivalled.

Our final stop was the more relaxed, less touristy Wapping local, The Town of Margate. Brownie point to whoever guesses what's Not Quite Right with this one.

And on the way home:
"Oh! *This* is why it's called 'Bank'! Not river "bank"! No wonder it isn't anywhere near the river! I'd always wondered about -"
"Um, yeah, but - I've already set up the camera over -"
Click!
Never mind...

Let's try that again, shall we?
Hurrah!

On the Underground - funny, hey?
